The Bird Kingdom, 4 time winner of Attraction of the Year, is the worlds largest, free flying aviary. 

Located on the scenic Niagara Gorge and next to the Falls, the Bird Kingdom hosts a diverse collection of almost 400 birds representing nearly 80 species from around the world.

A perfect 72 degrees, year-round, the Bird Kingdom's walk-thru, wheel chair and stroller accessible environments allow everyone to experience the rainforest first hand.  This self-guided tour allows you to get up-close and hands on with many of our birds and reptiles and to experience all the Bird Kingdom has to offer.

ENHANCE YOUR VISIT!  Our classroom programs are more than just feathers, feet & beaks! 

We've got a flock of unique and interactive programs that will delight your students!  From Ecosystems and conservation to building bird houses and enrichment toys for our birds to use, our student programs not only meet many curriculum standards, they're just plain fun!  Our unique topics help instill a respect for nature and a greater understanding of the winged creatures with whom we share our world.  Our wonder of nature surrounds the visitor and is an accessible, stroller and wheelchair friendly facility.

GROUP PACKAGES are available for student groups from JK to Adults.

Bird Kingdom offers many different, hands-on, educational programs either in your classroom or ours! Programs include:

  • Curriculum based school classes featuring live animals and hands-on encounters!!!
  • Animal Math program for various student grade levels!!! ***new for 2008
  • Traveling outreach program where we bring the birds to you!!! ***new for 2008 
  • "Keeper for the Day" Program where you work behind the scenes to care for our birds!

SELF GUIDED TOURS - Discover the Bird Kingdom with your group at your leisure, take in the many different areas from the Encounter Zones on the Second Floor to the Tropical Journey that starts on the Third Floor and winds its way down through gently sloping walkways, passing by a 40' Waterfall and meandering streams!

BAT FEEDINGS - Come face to face with these creatures of the night and watch them at their most active as they feed.

INTERACTIVE BIRD ENCOUNTERS - Look at a Giant Macaw in the eye as he sits on your arm or talk with our Yellow Napped Amazon. 

MEET THE CURATOR- Have our Curator introduce you to some of his favorite creatures of the rain-forest.  Got questions?  Here is our resident expert!

LORIKEET FEEDINGS WHERE YOU FEED THE BIRDS-Our beautiful Australian Lorikeets will land on you to drink nectar from a cup!  A truly Unique experience!

REPTILE ENCOUNTER ZONE- How brave are you and your students?  Can we get you to hold a 100lb python or a small Bearded Dragon?  You can do this and more on our Discovery Zone Floor!
